UTILITY PORTER/LAUNDRY ATTENDANT (FT)

Responsibilities

• Washing, drying, folding, ironing and storing linens
• Adhering to department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards
• Sorting, washing, drying, folding, ironing and storing linens according to established procedures
• Performing routine maintenance on laundry equipment, including cleaning dryer traps and greasing flat ironers
• Maintaining production levels according to room occupancy
• Aiding vendors during inspections and tests of cleaning agents and operations
• Handling cleaning products safely
• Maintaining daily worksheets
• Counting and processing reclaimed items
• Weighing and counting all received linens
• Keeping accurate counts of delivered and received linen counts from all receiving departments

Requirements

• No formal education required
• One year experience as a washer/folder/sorter helpful
• Knowledge of operating laundry equipment a plus
