Responsibilities

• Lay underground utility pipe
• Read grade and line
• Mount pipe hangers
• Dig trenches
• Erect scaffolding
• Support trenching

Requirements

• At least two years of underground pipe laying experience
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds over a distance of 20 feet or more
• Ability to work in a loud environment

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must be a hard worker, reliable, and willing to learn. They should also have a strong work ethic and excellent physical fitness to perform the physically demanding tasks associated with this position.

Skills

• Knowledge of laying underground utility pipe
• Working knowledge of styles and brands of pipe
• Ability to read and understand grade and line
• Ability to operate surveying and measuring equipment
• Ability to run power equipment and hand-held tools
• Physical strength and endurance to lift and carry heavy loads
