Utility Operator - Nights

About the role

Average shifts are Monday - Friday from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM. The hourly wage is $23.40, plus $1.00/hour shift differential. Located in York, PA, this facility manufactures and distributes products like A&H Cat Litter and A&H Laundry Detergent.

Responsibilities

• Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness within their area.
• Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Safe operation of all on-site material handling equipment, including floor sweeper/scrubber, etc.
• Empty all trash cans and gaylords as needed.
• Maintain adequate water in the batteries of all material handling equipment.
• Sign off and date the log when tasks are completed.
• Complete weekly, monthly, and quarterly housekeeping assignments in accordance with the Distribution Housekeeping Log.
• Assist with the training and certification program as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months to one (1) year work experience, and/or equivalent combination of experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities needed to perform the job.
• Six (6) months standup forklift experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment preferred.
• Previous experience with WMS preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Strong communications skills – ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media – verbal, written, etc.
• Must have ability to communicate clearly in English – verbal and written.
• Strong organizational/time management skills.
