Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search a designated area, accurately mark the location, complete required documentation, and photograph each locate.
• Use company‑provided vehicle and best‑in‑class ticket and claims management systems to deliver clear mark‑out services.
• Maintain a 48‑hour turnaround on many locates, working the day after holidays and some weekends as needed.
• Be available for overtime, weekend shifts, and on‑call shifts (including nights and weekends) based on business needs.

Requirements

• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Previous outdoor experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Availability for overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts as needed.
• Ability to pass a drug screen (safety‑sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to work in confined spaces; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lb.
• Ability to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Ability to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps, and prints.
• Clear communication skills with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Pay

Starting rate ranges from $20.00 per hour for new locators to $30.00 per hour for those with substantial prior locating experience.

Schedule

Daytime, full‑time positions with a 48‑hour turnaround requirement. Work may include the day after holidays, some weekends, overtime, weekend shifts, and on‑call shifts (including nights and weekends) as needed.
