Utility Locator Asheville

About the Role

You’ll locate underground gas utilities before digging projects begin. Using maps and equipment, you’ll mark utility locations to keep crews safe and prevent damage. This is a field-based role—you’ll work outdoors and drive daily.

Responsibilities

• Drive to job sites (50–200+ miles/day)
• Use maps and equipment to locate underground utilities
• Mark locations with paint or flags
• Communicate findings to crews
• Handle emergency calls (rotating schedule, if applicable)

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with NO restrictions
• Comfortable driving long distances daily
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to walk 4–6 miles daily and lift up to 50 lbs
• Basic computer skills
• Willing to work overtime

Pay

$18/hour and up (based on experience)
