Utility Lighting Installer

About the role

The Utility Lighting Installer is responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground lighting distribution systems, ensuring safety and compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance, and repairs on energized and de-energized systems
• Interpret blueprints and work orders
• Conduct pre-job planning
• Operate equipment such as bucket trucks and excavation tools

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training or 1–3 years of field experience
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, troubleshooting, and using industry-related software
• Knowledge of OSHA standards
• Safe operation of tools and vehicles
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds, work at heights, and perform rigorous physical tasks

Physical and environmental requirements

• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Climbing, balancing, and working at heights or in confined spaces

Other requirements

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Ability to travel as needed
