The Utility Lighting Installer is responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground lighting distribution systems, ensuring safety and compliance with standards. Key duties include: performing new construction, maintenance, and repairs on energized and de-energized systems, interpreting blueprints and work orders, conducting pre-job planning, and operating equipment such as bucket trucks and excavation tools. Qualifications and skills: high school diploma or equivalent, technical training or 1-3 years of field experience, proficiency in blueprint reading, troubleshooting, and using industry-related software. Knowledge of OSHA standards, safe operation of tools and vehicles, and physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds, work at heights, and perform rigorous physical tasks are essential. Physical and environmental requirements: working outdoors in various weather conditions, climbing, balancing, and working at heights or in confined spaces. Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and ability to travel as needed are required. This role emphasizes safety, technical skills, physical endurance, and effective communication to ensure successful project execution.
