Utility Inspection Technician (Indoor Inspections)

Responsibilities

• Enter commercial and residential facilities to check gas meters and pipes for leaks and corrosion.
• Ensure all required paperwork/data are completed during visual inspections.
• Identify any abnormal operating conditions and accurately fill out all forms associated with the inspection visit (electronic or paper).
• Work shifts that may include weekends.

Requirements

• Proficient at using current technology, smartphone, & tablet
• Able to communicate effectively in a one-on-one setting and while addressing a group
• Able to work overtime and weekends (as needed)
• Outdoor experience preferred
• Able to pass a drug screen
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required
• Able to use simple hand tools

Qualifications

This position may require you to work weekends. We are currently hiring throughout the Somerville, Cambridge, Hyde Park, MA areas.

Pay

The starting pay is $22/hr.

Schedule

This is a daytime, full-time position and overtime may be required.
