Utility – Equipment Yard Associate

Pay

• $16.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and education

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain equipment, storage areas, and facility grounds
• Help customers and employees load and unload equipment
• Check equipment in and out following company procedures
• Inspect equipment for proper operation and condition
• Wash and prepare equipment for customers
• Move materials and equipment throughout the facility
• Safely operate material-handling equipment, cranes, and company vehicles
• Assist qualified technicians with basic repairs and maintenance
• Receive new equipment deliveries and apply identification numbers
• Provide friendly, helpful service to customers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Dependable, safety-minded, and ready to work
• Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work
• Willing to work outdoors and around heavy equipment
• Strong teamwork and customer-service skills
• Interest in learning about Caterpillar equipment and building a long-term career
