Utility Construction Management Associate 2
The Utility Construction Management Associate 2 role ensures that third-party projects on, under, or above clients' properties comply with approved plans and agreements. Key responsibilities include:
- Observing utility installations across railroad property.
- Performing on-site observations of trenchless construction within railroad right-of-way, supporting third-party work around live railroad tracks.
- Documenting pre- and post-construction site conditions, verifying materials and layouts, and maintaining an active dialogue with on- and off-site personnel.
- Ensuring documentation is in accordance with approved plans.
- Attending daily job briefings with railroad (flagger) and contractor teams to discuss project requirements.
- Participating in monthly training calls.
- Submitting time and expenses accurately.
- Providing daily inspection reports using a tablet, detailing work progress and adherence to the railroad utility agreement.
- Escalating non-compliance issues to management/engineers for review.
- Traveling 100% of the time.
- Performing other duties as assigned or required to meet business needs.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of AREMA standards.
- Understanding of general construction practices.
- Proficiency in electronic communications, including e-mail and text.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 5-7 years of railroad or utility experience.
- Experience with high-risk jobs (e.g., large diameter installations, shoring near track, non-traditional projects).
- Basic understanding of tablet operations.
