Utilities Clerk - 073 Irving-W Airport

About the role

As a Utilities Clerk at the 073 Irving-W Airport Store, you will assist in the proper maintenance of the store, particularly in the Produce Department, and assist customers on the store floor as needed. You will also properly bag groceries for customers when needed, carry out groceries for customers if requested, and maintain and retrieve store carts. Additionally, you will run price checks, assist with go-backs, assist with check stand upkeep, and remove waste from the parking area.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the maintenance of the store, focusing on the Produce Department.
• Assist customers on the store floor as needed.
• Properly bag groceries for customers when required.
• Carry out groceries for customers if requested.
• Maintain and retrieve store carts.
• Run price checks, assist with go-backs, and assist with check stand upkeep.
• Remove waste from the parking area.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write both Spanish and English.
• Ability to interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Effective communication skills to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Stand, walk, and kneel as part of the job duties.
• Have visual and auditory requirements due to the nature of the work environment.

Skills

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).
