Utilities Clerk - 018 Houston-Kirby

About the role

As a Utilities Clerk at the 018 Houston-Kirby Store, you will assist in the proper maintenance of the store, particularly in the Produce Department, and assist customers on the store floor as needed. You will also properly bag groceries for customers when needed, carry out groceries for customers if requested, and maintain and retrieve store carts. Additionally, you will run price checks, assist with go-backs, assist with check stand upkeep, and remove waste from the parking area.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write both Spanish and English
• Interact effectively with the general public and co-workers
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred)
