About the role

As a Utilities Clerk at our Fiesta Mart store located at 1603 Spencer Hwy. S., Houston, Texas, 77587, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the store's cleanliness and safety. Your responsibilities include assisting in the proper maintenance of the store, particularly in the Produce Department, and providing assistance to customers on the store floor.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the proper maintenance of the store, focusing on the Produce Department.
• Assist customers on the store floor as needed.
• Bag groceries for customers when required.
• Carry groceries for customers upon request.
• Maintain and retrieve store carts.
• Run price checks and assist with go-backs.
• Assist with check stand upkeep.
• Remove waste from the parking area.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

• The ability to read and write both Spanish and English.
• The capacity to interact effectively with the general public and colleagues.
• The capability to read and understand simple instructions, product labels, and product pricing codes.
• The ability to write simple correspondence.
• The skill to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.
• The ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling.
• The ability to work in a visually and audibly demanding environment.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• A Retail Management Certificate.
