Position Description

Gearhead Outfitters (GHO) was founded by Ted Herget in 1997 in a friend's living room in Jonesboro, Arkansas. GHO has since grown to serve customers in states like Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado. In 2019, they acquired Rock/Creek and Uncle Dan’s, and in 2024, they added Summit Canyon Mountaineering. Today, Gearhead remains family-owned by Ted and Amanda Herget, who continue to prioritize quality and customer service.

EXEMPT POSITION PURPOSE

A Back Room Sales Support role is an efficient and detail-oriented individual. This position requires effective communication and multitasking skills, and it does not require prior retail experience. The Back Room Sales Support reports to the Store Manager.

Essential Functions

• Completes the daily backroom checklist
• Processes all inventory, including organizing, hanging, and tagging items appropriately
• Distributes items to stores through delivery or shipment
• Transfers products for stock as directed by the product team
• Performs inventory counts to ensure accuracy
• Ships necessary packages to customers, including special orders and online orders
• Ensures warranties are sent to the DC or Warehouse by the monthly due date
• Maintains the backroom organized and clean
• Collaborates with store managers to improve functionality and efficiency
• Performs other related and non-related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be physically able to walk, stand, and stoop for several hours each day
• Must be able to work at various heights, including floor level

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with at least 1 year of retail or warehouse experience
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
