UT Trainee Technician (NDT)

About the role

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking UT Trainee Technicians (NDT) for full-time employment in New Kensington, PA. This role offers an excellent opportunity to start your career as a Trainee, gaining hands-on experience and industry certifications while working alongside experienced professionals. Successful candidates can expect the opportunity to advance to a Level II position in approximately 6–7 months based on performance, training progress, and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Support NDT testing and inspection processes
• Assist in the setup and operation of NDT equipment
• Document test results and maintain records
• Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project success

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical aptitude and interest in NDT techniques
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/shop environment preferred
• Interest in working in industries such as Aerospace, FAA, Construction, Oil & Gas, and the Department of Defense
