UT | Heavy Equipment Operator – Finish Grade (Motor Grader)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform final grading, backfill, and compaction to meet job specs
• Restore landscaping, sidewalks, driveways, or pavement as needed
• Set and adjust utility structures like manhole rings/lids and valve boxes to final grade
• Absorb and prepare for inspections
• Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and ready for turnover
• Work closely with foremen and inspectors to ensure punch lists are completed

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience operating a motor grader to create smooth, level surfaces on construction sites
• Proven experience operating finish blade equipment in civil construction
• Strong understanding of grading, slopes, and finish tolerances
• Able to read grade stakes and follow site plans
• Safety-focused, dependable, and able to work in a team environment
