Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Take tickets at the entrance of the Facilities.
- Seat guests according to ticket numbers and assist guests with all questions or concerns.
- Monitor door entrances and exits, keeping unauthorized persons out of restricted areas.
- Handle all needs for guests with disabilities including ticketing, entrance/ exiting, seating and overall ADA compliance.
- Patrol and maintain Front of House area of the Facilities, ensuring that all areas are clean, safe and secure.
- Report incidents and related activities.
- Ensures that each Guest attempting to enter the facility has a correct ticket for that event.
- Maintains a smooth flow of traffic into facility.
- Reads each ticket for correct event, date and time. If incorrect information is noted, directs guest Box Office for assistance or seeks assistance from Supervisor.
- Can tickets quickly and efficiently and in the proper manner, depositing part of the ticket into the drop box and returning the other part to the guest.
- Handles minor problems and guest complaints in a calm, professional, courteous and timely manner.
- Provides special direction to guests in regard to handicapped seating, procedures for lost and found articles, restroom locations and specific event information as instructed in regard to assigned events.
- Maintains assigned areas for accidents and unsafe conditions and reports violations to the appropriate personnel immediately.
- Continually check assigned areas before, during and directly after events for damage and lost articles.
- Takes lost articles to Guest Services and report any damages or other safety concerns to Event Supervisor.
- Proactively greet guests as they approach seating area, check tickets for access to the seating area, and direct guests to their assigned seats.
- Monitor assigned section throughout the event for unruly guests, accidents and unsafe conditions.
- Adhere to building safety standards (i.e.: smoking, cameras, food/beverage policies and specific event requirements), Report violations to the appropriate personnel immediately.
- Offer assistance to guests throughout the event, including directions to arena facilities, answering guest questions, and providing other assistance as required.
- Attend event staff meetings, pre-event meetings and training classes to keep up to date on building policies and procedures.
- Ramp Guard Responsibilities:
- Remain stationed at the designated ramp location for the entirety of the assigned shift.
- Monitor and control access to the ramp area to ensure that no guests or employees utilize the ramp without authorization.
- Direct all guests and employees to enter through the designated lobby entrance and complete screening through the Evolv security system.
- Maintain communication with the Lobby Supervisor and only permit access beyond the ramp area when authorized.
- Follow all instructions provided by the Lobby Supervisor regarding operational changes, including procedures during inclement weather conditions.
- Report to the assigned ramp post at the scheduled report time and remain attentive to security and access control responsibilities throughout the shift.
- Notify and obtain approval from the Lobby Supervisor before leaving the assigned post for any reason, including restroom breaks.
- Ensure continuous coverage of the ramp area by coordinating with the Lobby Supervisor prior to temporarily departing the post.
