User Researcher
Workstream’s SaaS technology addresses the top pain point of local businesses: hiring, managing, and retaining qualified workers. Our customers include leading brands such as McDonald's, Jamba Juice, 7-Eleven, Uber, FedEx, and Chevron. We enable these businesses to hire faster with texting/SMS, cutting in half the time to engage, hire, and onboard hourly workers. The 2.7 billion desk-less workers represent 80% of the global workforce but have been underserved by technology compared to in-office knowledge workers. As a Series B company, we are expanding our product portfolio with a team from Google, Uber, MIT, and Stanford, backed by legendary VCs and industry experts, including Founders Fund, BOND, Coatue, the CEO of DoorDash, and the President of Instacart.
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced UX Researcher to join our growing design and research team. You will uncover deep insights and partner with product designers, product managers, engineers, and cross-functional roles to elevate the user experience for our teachers, students, parents, and school admins who use our web and mobile products daily around the world. You must be passionate about user research, an exceptional communicator, and comfortable scaling your work from identifying new product opportunities to validating concepts and running usability tests post-launch.
As one of the first researchers on the team, you’ll help develop the user research identity, practice, and culture across the company. Senior User Researchers are leaders within their product areas, collaborating with leadership and product teams on strategy, roadmap, and goals. You must process diverse information—product data, customer feedback, and internal insights—to break down complex problems and frame your thinking in accessible ways. We expect our enterprise product experiences to meet the same standards as the world’s best consumer products.

- Communicate insights compellingly, advocate for users, and cultivate an empathetic culture across the company.
