User Experience Designer

About the role

We are seeking a UX Designer who will lead the experience and visual design for several development teams. This role requires relocation to Madison, WI.

Responsibilities

• Meet with end-users to understand their unique needs and workflows
• Research user workflows and observe applications in use
• Work closely with developers to design intuitive, beautiful applications with sound information architecture
• Demonstrate ideas through various levels of design fidelity: sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes

Requirements

• Strong user-centered design techniques
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in user experience and visual design
• Portfolio demonstrating strong user experience and visual design skills
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
• Relocation to Madison, WI, area (reimbursed)
• Eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Understanding of information architecture and usability principles

Skills

• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, etc.
• Knowledge of user research methods and usability testing
• Experience with prototyping tools like InVision, Marvel, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
