User Experience Designer

About the role

Epic is seeking a UX Designer to lead the experience and visual design for several development teams. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between users and developers, ensuring that applications are both functional and visually appealing.

Responsibilities

• Meet with end-users to understand their unique needs and workflows
• Research user workflows and observe applications in use
• Work closely with developers to design intuitive, beautiful applications with sound information architecture
• Demonstrate ideas through sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes

Requirements

• Education or experience in user-centered design techniques
• Bachelor's degree or greater
• Relocation to the Madison, WI, area (reimbursed)
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio demonstrating strong user experience and visual design skills
• Experience with UX/UI design tools and platforms
• Knowledge of information architecture and usability principles
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in design software such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, etc.
• Understanding of human-computer interaction (HCI) and user-centered design
• Ability to translate user needs into effective designs

Location

The position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. Epic provides financial relocation assistance.
