About the role
Epic is seeking a UX Designer to lead the experience and visual design for several development teams. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with users, developers, and other designers to create intuitive and visually appealing applications.
Responsibilities
- Meet with end-users to understand their unique needs and workflows
- Research user workflows and observe applications in use
- Work alongside developers to design intuitive and beautiful applications with sound information architecture
- Demonstrate ideas through various levels of design fidelity: sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes
Requirements
- Strong portfolio demonstrating strong user experience and visual design skills
- Education or experience in user-centered design techniques
- Bachelor's degree or greater
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Relocation to the Madison, WI, area (reimbursed)
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a collaborative environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Understanding of information architecture and usability principles
Skills
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
- Knowledge of user research methods and usability testing
- Experience with prototyping tools like InVision, Marvel, or similar
