Team up with us as a Used Merchandising Specialist and play a key role in used equipment sales, rental rollouts, and inventory maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the used equipment sale make-ready process to ensure units meet sale expectations in adherence to policies and procedures.
- Convey equipment specifications and perform basic operations of the equipment.
- Manage and coordinate used equipment inventory, including asset accuracy and proper display for advertising.
- Collaborate with marketing to create quality internet and social media content (photos, walk-around videos) for used and rental rollout inventory.
- Manage and coordinate shipping and receiving of used and rental rollout inventory to meet internal and customer expectations.
- Conduct routine inventory audits on machines and attachments.
- Upload machine specs and information onto QR codes, ensuring proper display on each unit.
- Maintain equipment quality and display areas, ensuring inventory is clean, outfitted with fresh dealer decals, QR codes, and properly displayed for retail presence.
- Maintain professional relationships within internal departments to aid in retail sales, service, and logistics solutions.
- Recommend enhancements to the Used Merchandising Specialist role and the overall used equipment customer experience to improve efficiencies.
- Create, analyze, and deliver reports, manuals, and presentations.
- Demonstrate high-quality customer service through professional appearance, verbal, and written communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or two years of equipment industry experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic understanding of organization and business-related products and equipment.
- Basic computer literacy skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to perform arithmetic operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to travel to multiple dealer locations within the territory.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Professionalism and diplomacy to manage emotional or ambiguous situations with clarity and self-control.
Work Environment
- Occasionally required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
- Work involves moving or lifting light to moderately heavy materials or equipment, requiring physical strength and agility.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, moderate, and occasionally loud.
- Required travel up to 10%.
- This position is considered safety-sensitive.
