Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair used vehicles to specifications, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices
• Tear down, repair, replace, and/or rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, linkages, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings for all used vehicles
• Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels and repair manual and automatic transmissions
• Adequately explain the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• 1-3 years of automotive technician experience
• Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes, models, and sizes
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, electrical, engine, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
