Used Car Technician
About the role
Capitol Hyundai is seeking an experienced Used Car Technician to join their team. As a key member of the service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing used vehicles, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, and staying up-to-date with industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair used vehicles, focusing on accuracy and efficiency
- Perform multi-point inspections on every vehicle
- Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Communicate directly with Service Advisors to keep customers informed of any additional services needed
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Operate all auto repair tools and perform work specified on the repair order in accordance with dealership policies and procedures
Requirements
- 1+ years of automotive diagnosis and problem-solving experience
- ASE Certifications are a plus
- X-Time/CDK experience is a plus
- DMV Check required
- Willingness to participate in in-house training
- Ability to operate all auto repair tools
- Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment a must
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record

$33.80-$90.00/hour
