Used Car Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Used Car Technician with 3+ years of automotive repair experience to join our team at Apple Chevrolet, a union shop. The ideal candidate will inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition used vehicles to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-point inspections on used vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Complete repairs and maintenance, including brakes, suspension, steering, engine, transmission, and HVAC systems.
• Perform vehicle reconditioning to dealership standards.
• Conduct quality control inspections before vehicles are delivered.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of automotive technician experience (used vehicle or dealership experience preferred).
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using diagnostic scan tools and repair equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• ASE certifications are preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
