USAC Payroll Analyst

About the role

The USAC Payroll Analyst position offers an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military experience to a 3M career. This role contributes to the success of a critical organization by identifying opportunities, solving complex issues, and driving the team forward through creative and sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with HR colleagues, IT, Hire-To-Retire (HTR), and external partners to enhance payroll operations and improve employee experience.
• Identify opportunities and lead implementation efforts for process improvements and automation in payroll and associated processes.
• Leverage a thorough understanding of U.S. and Canada payroll processes to drive improvements and enhance overall efficiency within the payroll department.
• Collaborate with Compensation, Benefits, HTR, IT, and external partners to assist in driving new Workday functionality and/or integration design and execution.
• Analyze data issues for building long-term sustainable solutions.
• Seek, share, and apply external trend knowledge and relevant information to further enhance Payroll processes.
• Manage key projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and three (3) years of experience in Payroll, Human Resources, and/or Finance in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and seven (7) years of experience in Payroll, Human Resources, and/or Finance in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Workday, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
• Must sign an employee agreement as a condition of employment with 3M.
• May have obligations to not compete against 3M or solicit its employees or customers, both during their employment, and for a period after they leave 3M.

Pay & Benefits

The expected compensation range for this position is $109,202 - $133,469, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
