Position Summary

Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy. Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners. Identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carries out tasks, communicates progress and information, determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback.

What you'll do...

• Provides member service by acknowledging the member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the company's products and services.
• Maintains trailers by inspecting to ensure that mechanical safety and emergency equipment is in good working order, maintaining proper fuel levels in equipment as required, such as yard tractor, trailer unit, ocean vessel, container trailer, yard mule, forklift, and performing trailer inventory checks.
• Operates equipment for example tractor-trailer, yard mule, safely by adhering to all safety requirements, placing trailers in designated locations, and safely picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise, pallets.
• Maintains safety of facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, such as safety sweeps, forklift spotting, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, steel standards, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to Management.
• Fulfills member wholesale trade orders by reviewing orders, pulling items from shelves, verifying appropriate quantities and expiration dates, scanning, wrapping, and palletizing items appropriately, ensuring the accuracy of orders and invoices, securing items until orders ship, ensuring necessary documentation is signed, and following up on out-of-stock merchandise to meet member needs.
• Organizes wholesale trade merchandise onto pallets, containers, and/or trucks by ensuring loads are stacked, mixed, and balanced appropriately in accordance with company policies and maintaining documentation of the loading process.
• Yard Driver Operations: Drives tractor-trailer in a safe and correct manner by adhering to all regulations, transporting trailers to appropriate destinations in an accurate and timely manner, telling management about unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures, operating tractor-trailer in a safe and correct manner, maintaining a clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6 months’ experience operating tractor-trailers or yard mule.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
