About the role
Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and instock and inventory levels. Oversees budgeting, forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for Associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
Ensures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, and overseeing operational reviews.
Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting business initiatives, and measuring progress toward goals.
Responsibilities
- Model, enforce, and guide Associates on proper Customer/Member service approaches to ensure needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within Company guidelines.
- Oversee and participate in community outreach programs, encouraging Associates to serve as good community members.
- Ensure the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members/Customers, selecting products based on needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repairs, and maintaining Optical equipment.
- Uphold the Company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, and suggesting resolutions.
- Support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, communicate goals, and demonstrate adaptability.

Requirements
- Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.

- Experience supervising Associates.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $24.50 - $34.50. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments based on location.
