Drive sales in the Vision Center through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and maintaining instock and inventory levels. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and economic trend analysis to meet community needs.

Responsibilities

  • Model, enforce, and guide Associates on proper customer service techniques to ensure needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within Company guidelines.
  • Oversee and participate in community outreach programs, encouraging Associates to serve as active community members.
  • Ensure compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by:
    • Analyzing and interpreting reports.
    • Implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls.
    • Overseeing safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews.
    • Developing and implementing action plans to improve performance.
    • Providing direction on executing Company programs and strategic initiatives.
    • Ensuring confidentiality of information, documentation, and records.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for Associates by:
    • Hiring, training, and mentoring.
    • Assigning duties and promoting a belonging mindset.
    • Offering recognition and fostering professional growth.
  • Ensure the provision of quality eyewear by:
    • Consulting with and educating customers.
    • Selecting products based on customer needs.
    • Obtaining measurements and verifying prescriptions.
    • Maintaining confidential information.
    • Performing minor frame repairs and maintaining Optical equipment.
  • Uphold the Company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, addressing concerns, and suggesting resolutions.
  • Coordinate and complete job-related activities by:
    • Developing relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
    • Identifying and communicating goals and objectives.

    • Identifying improvement opportunities and promoting continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supervising Associates.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $30.50 - $43.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments based on location.
