About the role

The Tire and Battery Center (TBC) Sales Associate is responsible for maintaining facility and sales floor safety and standards, ensuring the TBC sales floor is organized and merchandised correctly, presenting merchandise, monitoring tire and battery orders, assisting members with appointments, and providing expert member service.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures, conducts regular safety sweeps, and handles forklift and hazardous material requirements.
  • Stocks, zones, and merchandises the TBC sales floor according to company policies.
  • Stocks, sets up, cleans, and organizes product displays, removes damaged goods, signs, prices, and secures merchandise.
  • Maintains merchandise presentation by managing inventory, handling claims, returns, shrink, and damages.
  • Communicates lead time changes and order cancellations to members and provides alternative suggestions for installation or tire fitments.
  • Assists members with tire maintenance and repair services, recommends the safest and most suitable tire and battery products, explains warranties, and ensures members receive the best service and value.
  • Drives sales and service excellence by communicating the value of merchandise and services, collaborating with associates, and promoting TBC offerings and value.
  • Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC service bays, identifies waiting members, understands time requirements, and re-prioritizes appointments to maximize service efficiency.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, seasonality, Point-of-Sale systems, and phone and in-person selling techniques.
  • Leverages technology to enhance operations and engagement by using digital tools and handheld devices to plan sales, improve the service experience, make real-time business decisions, stay informed about products and training, and encourage THE adoption of new tools among team members.
  • Serves as a brand advocate by valuing the member's experience in the TBC area and modeling high quality service and products.
  • Develops and influences team members, understands roadblocks, and assists in training team members.

Requirements

  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • 18 years of age or older.

Pay

$20.00 to $28.00 per hour*

Schedule

Hourly wage range and additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
