Position Summary
This position assists in the operation of multiple facilities, performing tasks such as setting up and configuring low voltage systems, running and terminating cables, and providing technical support.
What you'll do...
- Set up and configure various low voltage systems (security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, network cabling).
- Run, terminate, and label cables according to project requirements and industry standards.
- Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability.
- Identify and resolve issues in low voltage systems promptly to minimize downtimes.
- Fix any faults or damages in systems, ensuring they are restored to optimal working condition.
- Provide technical support.
- Provide training and support to end users on how to operate and maintain low voltage systems.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Generate reports on system performance, issues resolved, and maintenance activities.
- Evaluate existing systems to determine if upgrades or enhancements are needed.
- Perform system upgrades to improve performance or comply with new standards.
- Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Lead and participate in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved; and modeling and helping others with how to adapt to change or new challenges.

Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Prior work experience in a role requiring knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- BICSI Installer Certification.
- CompTIA certifications for networking (for example, Network+).
- Manufacturer-specific certifications (for example, Honeywell, Axis, or Bosch systems).
- NICET 1 & 2 Fire Alarm certification.
- Training or certification in low voltage systems.

Additional Compensation
- Performance-based bonus awards.
- Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
