(USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration

Position Summary

Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician role supporting and overseeing repair within Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations and guidelines by performing work according to practices and procedures outlined in the Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently

Minimum Qualifications

• Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field
• Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for refrigerant handling
• Where required, HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman
• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Mechanical license in city and/or state where job is located
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment

Pay

Hourly wage range: $29.00 - $58.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Eligible for bonus incentive.
