Position Summary

TourToTeach, a role within Walmart, involves leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. This includes touring stores, providing feedback, and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, merchandising, and company direction.

What you'll do...

  • Teaches and trains teams, actively listens to associates, and provides feedback during store tours.
  • Collaborates with associates at all levels to discuss store operations, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Introduces and leads company change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides team implementation of business solutions.
  • Communicates business objectives to teams effectively, modeling and demonstrating exceptional customer service standards.
  • Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs.
  • Ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved, develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies, and provides process improvement leadership to enhance the customer experience.
  • Drives financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss (PL) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Maintains effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, and develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Supervises and develops hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on executing business processes and practices.
  • Respects individuals by building high-performing teams, embracing differences, and creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected through a culture of belonging.
  • Employs integrity by acting in a selfless manner, being consistently humble, honest, fair, and transparent, and holding oneself and others accountable.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years' of college; OR
  • 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR
  • 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Additional Compensation

  • Annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Pay Range

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes performance-based bonuses and may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Complex Structure.

This job has an additional differential to meet legislative requirements, where applicable.
