Position Summary

Performs routine and major repairs on facilities equipment or fixtures, inspects and cleans, and documents preventive maintenance activities.

What you'll do...

  • Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities equipment or fixtures.
  • Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities equipment or fixtures, observes and documents signs of wear and tear, gathers capital expense information, recommends repair needs, determines replacement needs, and documents preventive maintenance activities.
  • Oversees work of junior-level associates, determines scopes of work for projects, acts as a job foreman on assigned work sites, utilizes multiple craft skills, provides prompt response to emergency calls, documents repair activities, evaluates technician skill sets, provides onsite training sessions, performs onsite repairs, ensures completed work meets or exceeds quality, safety, and code requirements.
  • Ensures financial sustainability and manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing and providing required written and electronic information, such as expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs, conducting price comparisons, ordering parts and replacement equipment, tracking orders, recording purchases and usage, managing parts inventory, reviewing journals and invoices, compiling and reporting budget information, submitting warranty claims, complying with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines, ensuring quality work meets regulatory requirements, developing relationships with local parts suppliers and contractors, ensuring contractors follow Walmart quality standards, safety requirements, and meet contract requirements, identifying and reporting deficiencies, unloading and storing equipment, and transporting equipment between facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 7 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • 1 year’s experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
