About the role

Position summary: Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at Walmart, supporting and overseeing repair of refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets in local retail stores. Requires using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills with hand, digital, power tools and other equipment to complete jobs. Primary location: 949 W GRASSLAND DR, AMERICAN FORK, UT 84003-2753, United States.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations and guidelines by performing work according to practices and procedures outlined in the Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration OR 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Air Condition
