Position Summary
Join Walmart as a Senior Software Engineer and lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions through collaborative engineering efforts. This role involves full lifecycle development, including design, coding, testing, and deployment, with a focus on integrating AI/ML components and leveraging modern programming practices.
What you'll do
- Own delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance software intelligence and development velocity.
- Participate in solution design, conduct code reviews, and ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable software aligned with platform standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and define success metrics.
- Monitor application performance, support defect management, and maintain high-quality software systems.
- Mentor peers, promote engineering best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
About the team
The team develops an Enterprise Device Management platform that integrates multiple device types to enhance management, monitoring, and automation. Utilizing AI, it delivers predictive support and efficient issue resolution. Team members collaborate across functions to design scalable solutions, implement continuous integration and testing, and ensure high-quality software delivery. The group emphasizes technical excellence, innovation, and clear communication to achieve business goals. Minimum Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.

Pay
- Bentonville, Arkansas US-30007: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
- Sunnyvale, California US-11789: The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00
