(USA) Principal, Data Architect
Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive data architectures that support business objectives and data governance standards. This role requires expertise in data modeling, integration, and quality management across multiple platforms, including cloud and big data technologies.

The team drives strategic planning and execution within the Health & Services organization, collaborating across business and operational functions. It translates strategy into actionable plans, leads organizational change, and enhances operating processes to support growth and operational excellence. By fostering strong cross-functional partnerships, the team ensures alignment, accountability, and successful delivery of key business priorities. Members contribute expertise in data architecture, governance, and strategy to enable informed decision-making and effective data management, supporting the organization’s goals through innovative solutions and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Define and identify optimal data sources aligned with business requirements and service level agreements.
- Design and maintain data architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical models for multiple data platforms.
- Lead data quality management initiatives to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement data governance strategies, providing guidance on policies and best practices.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Evaluate and optimize database performance, troubleshoot integration issues, and validate new architectures.
- Mentor team members on data modeling, architecture standards, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Extensive expertise in data architecture, including data modeling, data governance, and data strategy.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable data solutions across cloud and on-premises platforms.
- Strong knowledge of database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, data warehouses, and big data ecosystems.
- Experience in defining data quality frameworks and ensuring data integrity and security.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective data strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Skilled in mentoring teams and providing guidance on data architecture standards and best practices.
- Demonstrated capability to evaluate and improve data systems for optimal performance and compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years' experience in data engineering, solution architecture, business intelligence, business analytics or related field.
- Option 2: 7 years' experience in data engineering, solution architecture, business intelligence, business analytics or related field.
- Option 3: Master's degree in Computer Science and 3 years' experience in data engineering, solution architecture, business intelligence, business analytics or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data architecture/software architecture/data modeling.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years' experience in software engineering or related field.
- Relevant industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare, etc.).
- Solution Architecture.
- Experience in creating inclusive digital experiences, implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments based on location.
