(USA) Merchandising Lead
About the role
Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying member needs, offering guidance and support regarding self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services.
Assists management with the supervision of associates in assigned areas by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, providing direction on member service approaches, ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting the Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
Responsibilities
- Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors; organizes and maintains the sales floor using equipment, merchandising, and completing required documentation.
- Maintains facility safety according to company policies by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, adhering to steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to management.
- Ensures maintenance of the sales floor and merchandise presentation by handling claims and returns, zoning the area, stocking and arranging merchandise, setting up displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, and securing fragile and high-shrink items.
- Monitors food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, product recalls, and adherence to sanitation standards; merchandising, stocking, zoning, and cleaning all departments.
- Oversees the picking and staging of club pickup orders throughout the day, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policy.
- Develops, communicates, and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; analyzing information from multiple sources; monitoring progress; and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining and guiding how to apply them, implementing action plans, and assisting with ethical and compliance issues.
- Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, determining customer needs and priorities, coordinating work assignments, providing feedback, and modeling adaptability to change.

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.

- Experience leading a team, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workloads.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
