About the role

Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying member needs, offering guidance and support regarding self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services.

Assists management with supervising associates in assigned areas by delegating duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, providing direction on member service approaches, ensuring resolution of member complaints according to company guidelines, and supporting compliance with company policies. Participates in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.

Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors, organizes and maintains the sales floor using equipment, and completes required documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains facility safety according to company policies by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, adhering to steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations.
  • Ensures sales floor and merchandise presentation compliance by handling claims and returns, zoning, stocking, arranging and organizing merchandise, setting up displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, and securing fragile or high-shrink items.
  • Monitors food and merchandise quality through product rotation, code dating, recalls, and adherence to sanitation standards; merchandises, stocks, zones, and cleans all departments.
  • Oversees picking and staging of club pickup orders, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Develops, communicates, and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers; analyzing information; monitoring progress; and addressing improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrates and promotes compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity by guiding and modeling application in business processes, using the Open Door Policy, and assisting with ethical or compliance issues.
  • Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, determining customer needs, coordinating work, providing feedback, and adapting to change.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workloads.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 to $31.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
