(USA) Member Team Lead

Assists management with the supervision of associates in assigned areas, ensuring effective communication of goals, feedback, and training on processes and procedures. Provides direction to associates on member service approaches, resolves member complaints, and ensures compliance with company policies while supporting the Open Door Policy.

Responsibilities

• Assign duties, communicate goals, and provide feedback to associates.
• Train associates on processes, procedures, and member service techniques.
• Support membership initiatives by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members.
• Process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; encourage renewals and participate in sales and marketing events.
• Acknowledge members, identify their needs, and assist with purchasing decisions and transactions (registers, self-checkout, club pick-up orders).
• Oversee assigned area by handling claims, returns, zoning, organizing merchandise, managing shrink and damages, and maintaining cart availability and parking lot cleanliness.
• Complete accounting records, financial reports, and documentation; prepare daily deposits and investigate cash discrepancies.
• Develop and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with stakeholders, analyzing data, and addressing improvement opportunities.
• Demonstrate and promote compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and the Open Door Policy.
• Lead and participate in teams by coordinating work, providing feedback, and adapting to change.
• Foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and belonging; mentor and recognize associates’ contributions.
• Uphold integrity, ethics, and compliance; model Walmart’s values and support regenerative company goals.
• Serve customers and members by prioritizing their needs and balancing short- and long-term business priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement, embrace learning, and support others through change.

Requirements

• 6 months of retail experience, including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register).
• 6 months of customer service experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading a front-end team.
• Supervisory experience, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, and workload management.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour.
