(USA) Member Specialist FT
About the role
Provides member service, maintains the checkout area, and resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam's Club products and services and provides guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology.
Responsibilities
- Processes member purchases, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types.
- Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps and reporting unsafe situations to facility management.
- Handles merchandise according to proper procedures and maintains entrance and exit areas.
- Acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, and identifies member needs.
- Assists members with purchasing decisions, locates merchandise, and resolves member issues and concerns.
- Promotes company products and services and zones the area to arrange and organize merchandise.
- Assists members with transporting items and maintains a safe shopping environment.
- Reviews member receipts and secures Sam's Club assets by observing and communicating potential criminal activity.
- Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, and executes emergency response procedures.
- Ensures compliance with company security and safety practices.
- Assists with training Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, procedures, and new technology.
- Delivers training on new programs and tools, and provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
- Ensures area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies, including handling returns, identifying shrink and damages.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Completes work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, co-workers, and business partners.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, such as based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
