(USA) Member Specialist
About the role
Provides member service, maintains the checkout area, resolves member issues and concerns, and promotes Sam’s Club products and services. Guides members on self-service technology, processes purchases, and handles payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges per company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types. Follows safety standards, conducts safety sweeps, handles merchandise properly, and reports unsafe situations. Maintains entrance and exit areas, acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, and assists with purchasing decisions and locating merchandise. Zones, arranges, and organizes merchandise; assists with transporting items; and maintains a safe shopping environment. Reviews receipts, secures Sam’s Club assets, maintains required documentation, and executes emergency response procedures. Ensures compliance with company security and safety practices.
Training and Development
- Assists with training Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures
- Teaches new technology and tool functionality
- Delivers new program rollout training

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may apply, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed; multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
Requirements
- Retail experience including operating front-end equipment (for example, cash register)
- Experience working with mobile retail applications
