(USA) Member Specialist

About the role

Provides member service, maintains the checkout area, and resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam's Club products and services, and provides guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology.

Responsibilities

• Processes member purchases, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types.
• Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps and reporting unsafe situations to facility management.
• Maintains entrance and exit areas, acknowledging members, verifying membership cards, and identifying member needs.
• Assists members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and transporting items.
• Zones the area, arranges and organizes merchandise, and identifies shrink and damages.
• Secures and safeguards Sam's Club assets and property by observing and communicating potential criminal activity according to company policies.
• Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, and executes emergency response procedures.
• Assists with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, procedures, new technology, and tool functionality.
• Delivers new programs rollout training and provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
• Ensures compliance with company security, safety, and ethics practices, including the Open Door Policy.
• Completes work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, co-workers, and business partners.
• Embraces diversity, creates an inclusive workplace, and supports team development and mentorship.
• Maintains high standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance, supporting Walmart’s goal of becoming a regenerative company.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances (e.g., based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed). Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
