Position Summary
The Walmart Master Electrician, Facility Services, ensures the safety, functionality, and maintenance of electrical systems across facilities. Key responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving complex electrical issues, leading repairs, managing contractors, providing technical guidance, and supporting emergency responses.
What you'll do
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, facilities, and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Inspect, diagnose, and resolve complex electrical issues using blueprints, manuals, and code requirements.
- Install and maintain electrical panels, breakers, switches, outlets, lighting, and conduit in compliance with NEC and safety standards.
- Lead and mentor Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians, providing technical guidance and training on electrical techniques and safety protocols.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts procurement, and contractor coordination to meet quality and compliance standards.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations supporting critical business needs.

What you'll bring
- Proven expertise as a Master Electrician with comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, including panels, breakers, switches, outlets, lighting, and conduit installations.
- Ability to lead and mentor Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians, providing technical guidance and training on electrical techniques and safety protocols.
- Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, contractor coordination, and documentation with attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to safety compliance, including OSHA and EPA regulations, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Proficient in operating heavy machinery and performing preventive maintenance across multiple crafts.

Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older.
- 5 years’ experience in the electrical trade (Master-level experience preferred).
- Licensed Master Electrician in good standing or equivalent in state of work.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program.
- Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Licenses in related trades in city and/or state where job is located.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
