About the role
You will operate a forklift and manage inventory in a Sam’s Club facility while adhering to company policies, safety standards, and member-service expectations.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift to safely pick up, move, place, and position merchandise pallets following company standards and guidelines.
- Receive, stock, and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, managing inventory flow, correcting shelf capacities, and completing required paperwork and logs.
- Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, offering guidance, assisting with purchasing decisions, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
- Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials, correcting unsafe situations, and reporting issues to management.
- Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation by zoning the area, stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged goods, setting up displays, and ensuring compliance with sanitation and food safety policies.
- Ensure club pickup orders are filled by assisting with order picking, staging products according to policy, and performing occasional audits for accuracy.
- Handle inventory by moving and displaying goods safely, tracking stock levels, controlling shrinkage, and reporting poor inventory practices or low stock levels.
- Operate and maintain forklifts safely, report unsafe conditions or practices, and notify management of equipment issues.
- Proactively assist customers with technology services, identify shrink opportunities, maintain equipment, and ensure products are organized and stocked correctly.

Requirements
- 90 days of prior experience with forklift certification.
- Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, such as based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
