(USA) Freight Flow Associate

About the role

You will operate a forklift and manage merchandise within a Sam's Club facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and member satisfaction while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to pick up, move, place, and position merchandise pallets following company standards.
• Receive, stock, and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, managing inventory flow and correcting shelf capacities.
• Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers, identifying priorities, and adapting to feedback.
• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
• Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation by zoning, stocking, rotating merchandise, setting up displays, and processing defective goods.
• Ensure club pickup orders are filled accurately and staged according to company policies.
• Handle inventory by tracking goods, maintaining in-stock levels, controlling shrinkage, and reporting inventory issues.
• Use inventory tools and equipment safely and correctly, reporting unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions.
• Proactively assist customers with technology services and items, identifying shrink opportunities and resolving issues.

Requirements

• 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
• Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Experience supervising a team.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
