About the role

You will operate a forklift and manage inventory in a Sam’s Club facility while adhering to company policies, safety standards, and merchandising guidelines. The role involves receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining the sales floor, assisting members, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts safely to pick up, move, place, and position merchandise pallets following company standards.
  • Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers, identifying priorities, and adapting to feedback.
  • Receive, stock, and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, managing inventory flow and correcting shelf capacities.
  • Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
  • Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation by zoning, stocking, rotating merchandise, setting up displays, and processing defective goods.
  • Ensure club pickup orders are filled accurately and staged according to company policies.
  • Handle inventory by tracking goods, maintaining in-stock levels, controlling shrinkage, and reporting poor inventory practices.
  • Operate and maintain forklifts safely, reporting unsafe conditions or equipment issues to management.
  • Assist customers with technology services, identify shrink opportunities, and maintain equipment and product organization.

  • Deliver results with a customer-first mindset, balancing short- and long-term priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement, adapt to change, and support others through new technologies and processes.

Requirements

  • 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
  • Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer service experience.
  • Retail experience.
  • Experience supervising a team.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour.
