Join our freezer, cooler, and deli team where you’ll play an important role in maintaining operations and sanitary conditions to keep our product ready for members. In the deli department, you’ll provide front-line customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience. Be part of a team that offers customers more of what they love, for less.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high-quality products are available for members by maintaining shelves, verifying expiration dates, and disposing of lesser-quality food products.
  • Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area, including temperature control in freezers and coolers.
  • Maintain safety by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including handling hazardous materials and reporting unsafe situations.
  • Maintain the sales floor and merchandise presentation in the Freezer/Cooler/Deli area by:
    • Handling claims and returns.
    • Receiving and stocking merchandise.
    • Setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays.
    • Removing damaged goods and signing/pricing merchandise appropriately.
    • Completing required audits, paperwork, logs, and documentation.
    • Securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
  • Provide member service by:
    • Acknowledging members and identifying their needs.
    • Locating merchandise and assisting with purchasing decisions.
    • Providing deli products to members.
    • Resolving issues and concerns.
    • Promoting the company’s products and services.
  • Follow company policies and procedures related to the Freezer/Cooler area by:
    • Complying with food handling policies.
    • Operating, repairing, and sanitizing equipment.
    • Following Cold Chain procedures when stocking merchandise.
    • Cleaning freezer/cooler/deli areas (e.g., windows, mirrors, display cases, and coolers).
    • Monitoring freezer/cooler fans, drains, and doors for proper operation and reporting issues to management.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, such as based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
