Position Summary
The (USA) Exterior Services Technician, DOT Operator - DS, manages and executes exterior facility projects such as landscaping, snow removal, and equipment maintenance, ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
What you'll do
Prepare and execute budgets by developing cost estimates for planned projects and approving purchases of parts, materials, and equipment.
Manage internal scheduled projects by prioritizing work assignments and maintaining workforce needs.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following established safety and environmental guidelines.
Lead third-party providers through coaching and performance evaluations to maintain quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns by communicating effectively with facility users.
Cookordinate capital expenditures and develop scopes of work to update and sustain facility assets.
Implement improvements to reduce operating costs and support sustainable facility upgrades.

The Exterior Services team maintains and enhances Walmart’s outdoor facilities through effective project planning, budgeting, and adherence to safety standards. This team coordinates work assignments, sources materials, and manages third-party providers to ensure quality results. They focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement, collaborating across departments to meet business objectives and uphold company policies.
What you'll bring
Proven experience in project management, including planning, prioritizing, and executing scheduled assignments.
Strong knowledge of budgeting processes and cost control measures for materials, equipment, and travel expenditures.
Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and commitment to maintaining compliance.
Ability to conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot operational issues effectively.
Skilled in sourcing, verifying, and approving materials and equipment requisitions.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and lead third-party providers.
Demonstrated capability to implement business solutions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
21 years of age or older.
Valid, state-issued driver’s license.
No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification at a minimum of a 90 day card.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.
Certified Facilities Manager (CFM), Project Management (PMP), or related certification.
Third-party management experience.
