Position Summary
As the Director of Supply Chain Finance for Perishables, you will lead the strategic expansion of our Labor Optimization (SCLO) platform into the GDC network. You will be the primary architect of the financial roadmap that replaces legacy manual planning with data-science-driven optimization to reduce cost-to-serve at Fortune 1 scale. This is a high-impact opportunity to build the next generation of perishables fulfillment, directly influencing the productivity and efficiency of Walmart's highest-frequency traffic driver.
About The Role
The Supply Chain Workforce Optimization Team serves as the strategic connector between Engineering, Operations, and Finance to automate and standardize workforce planning across the enterprise. We drive results by developing advanced workforce analytics and improvement strategies that increase the accuracy of our Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
What You'll Do
Lead Workforce Optimization: Oversee the development of workforce analytics and standards for the GDC network, increasing the accuracy of labor forecasting and productivity.
Manage Strategic Financial Plans: Partner cross-functionally to establish long-term targets and resource needs for the SCLO platform expansion into Perishables.
Drive Financial Decision Making: Collaborate with leadership to identify performance gaps and growth opportunities, providing actionable insights that influence business results.
Master Storytelling and Influence: Prepare compelling presentations for senior leaders that simplify complex financial modeling, risk levels, and historical trends into clear recommendations.
Develop Talent and Leadership: Recruit and mentor high-performing finance talent while indirectly influencing cross-functional partners to achieve supply chain objectives.
What You’ll Bring
Technical and Analytical Acumen: Strong financial expertise combined with familiarity in digital/tech product finance or asset management.
Supply Chain Expertise: Deep experience in Supply Chain Finance organizations, particularly within large-scale operational environments.
Stakeholder Diplomacy: Proven ability to align senior leaders and stakeholders with competing priorities through strategic influence and clear communication.
Execution with Urgency: A result-oriented mindset that thrives in ambiguity and maintains high standards for accountability and data integrity.
Operational Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional projects in a Fortune 100 environment with a focus on productivity improvement and automation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or relevant area OR 7 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
2 years’ supervisory experience.
2 years’ experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
