As a Cake Decorator, you will drive member service in your area to deliver more of what members love, for less. You will collaborate with other associates to ensure the club meets member expectations.
Responsibilities
- Be a Team Member
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources.
- Communicate and develop interpersonal skills for customer service.
- Be flexible to business needs while maintaining instock levels and controlling shrinkage.
- Be an Expert
- Plan bakery production to ensure consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs.
- Follow recipe measurement instructions and work with decorating tools (e.g., bags, tips, nozzles) to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items.
- Adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management.
- Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment while demonstrating product and layout execution.
- Be a Techie
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
- Use handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality.
- Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
- Be an Owner
- Drive bakery area performance, ensuring quality and date control standards while eliminating waste.
- Prepare for seasonal events (e.g., holidays, graduations, family events) that impact bakery volume.
- Identify member needs, assist with purchasing decisions, and resolve member issues and concerns.

- Act as a brand advocate by valuing the member experience in Bakery and modeling high-quality service and products.
- Interact with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in training, developing, influencing, and inspiring them.

Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- 6 months of experience in a fresh production area.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cake decorating.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances (e.g., based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed). Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
